Lee's Fried Chicken Soothes The Soul !

My brother Randolph was up from Charleston this weekend. He stopped here on his way to Fairfax to get a townhouse. Work will bring him there- military. But hes not looking forward to it. As he told me before, "its not the real Virginia anymore". Yes, we can agree on that. Leaving beautiful Charleston, SC, for the vanilla vinyl siding of Fairfax County won't be easy for him or his family. Anyways, he got back last night and we stopped for some Lee's Fried Chicken. Nothin' like Lee's to ease your mind. I just love their buttermilk biscuits. I take them and smear the mashed potatoes and gravy on top! The chicken is so much better than Popeye's too! Always the right amount of grease. Randy went back to Charleston today. I had to go back to Patients First because my ears were bothering me again. But this morning they were fine. I went back to make sure they were okay. Well the, Dr said my ears looked fine and refused to give me any more antibiotics. If I get sick- its on his hands! Oh , well, thats what happens when you dont have insurance.

Upon some good news, though- I got my new AMEX card today! I had lost it after visiting Ellwood Thompson's last weekend. I don't know where the world it went. Anyways, just a phone call to confirm, and I'm back on the credit wagon! It feels so good. I think I'll go out to the store now and see what I can charge with it. Spending money helps the economy , ya know. I got a new song I'm working on . Its called "Smoothie Shop Blues". I think it might go gold (On YouTube ,at least). I can't wait to put it on wax. 'Til then, Im still working on getting rid of my bloated belly.

Biscuits, mashed potatoes, chicken and grease. Sounds like a southerners dream.
