Aroma's Gig

Well, I played Aroma's Coffee shop last night in Newport News. Its in Oyster Point Shopping Mall. If you've never been there, its basically a poor man's Short Pump Town Center. But the coffee shop is very nice! The staff is really very friendly and helpful- not uppity like some other places are. I like this one a bit better than the location in Williamsburg because there's tons more room. So I don't feel that I'm gonna make someone splatter coffee on their faces or break their cups! Anyways, I did a 2 hour set with my usual tunes, and they seem to enjoy it. One lady stayed the whole show and wanted to know if I would be there every Saturday. Then a few other people bought my 45s and CDs. Newport News is just 10 minutes from Williamsburg so it only took me an hour to get there. Aside from tips, I got a 50.00$ Gift Certificate! Aroma's is very choosy about their music- they have high standards! So I was honored to play there. I hope I can go back soon. Here's a recap of the show.
