Here's a video montage of my mother, and we are singing "La Bamba". I was eight years old at the time, hence the boy-soprano voice. My mom had a few to drink, so she's not at her best. She really did have a beautiful voice otherwise. But she still had a lot of fun recording this, even if her Manhattan straight ups were mixing into the vocal !
Mom died July 21st, in 1990, so its been almost 19 years. I figured this is a nice way to remember her. Having fun, and singing a song that was popular just a few years after she graduated from Thomas Jefferson high school!
